Stop by Buccaneer Beach Bar most early evenings. You can walk from Flamingo. We'll be there 8/8 - 8/15!

Grocery prices are just a tad higher, but not so much as you would notice. Best place to shop on the Dutch side is Grand Marche. If booze is on your shopping list, it's a LOT cheaper!

Have stayed there several times and never had any of those problems. They are in the middle of renovating many of the units as they were getting pretty tired. Be sure to ask for one of those at check-in.

We just return from our second (or is it third?) stay at the Atrium. Comments from my trip report posted elsewhere: Checked into Atrium for our two week stay. One bedroom with full kitchen, dining, LR and a nice sized bathroom all very well maintained and clean. Lovely deck overlooking Simpson Bay. Atrium employs a very friendly and competent staff with no waiting or issues at all. Since we w

Just make friends with a beach mate next door on the beach. They will keep an eye on your stuff. We do it all the time. If we leave the area for a walk or something, we take our valuables with us. But for a dip in the water, we just leave it at the bottom of our beach bag. Safer than in the car!

We have never had a problem with service at Peg Leg's - but we always sit at the bar. Perhaps that makes the difference. We do love Peg Leg's, alot of it has to do with the folks we know there, including Shawn. We go there to "hang out". But I will admit, the food and service at Pineapple Petes wins hands down. We go here to have a wonderful meal - then go down the road

We also prefer a banged up car. Just in case...... A rice burner is a rice burner. So long as it runs well, gets up the hills and A/C works. Worst car we ever got on the island was with Hertz. ALways get just what we want from AAA. He gave us a new car once, we took it back the next day for a crash and dent model. We were too scared to drive the "nice" car with all the crazy

That's a pretty good price for November. I'd stick with AAA.

I copied this from a recent trip report. It's the contact info you need for Sharon Harris ar Royal Palm. We don't do cell phones, but she has a great reputation from those who do. Contact Sharon Harris to rent a phone - great deal - $30 for the week and $15 of that goes to minutes. If you need more, you buy a card at a local grocery. You pick up the phone at the Royal Palm Hotel th
