Hey!
We just got back from St. Maarten and what we did was rent a cell phone. If you go to the Royal Palm Resort right past the Simpson Bay Bridge you can rent a cell phone plus get a phone card for it that is good for around 48 minutes for about 30 dollars. You then after using up your card go and buy more cards at grocery stores or whatever. It was the cheapest I saw.

I copied this from a recent trip report. It's the contact info you need for Sharon Harris ar Royal Palm. We don't do cell phones, but she has a great reputation from those who do.

Contact Sharon Harris to rent a phone - great deal - $30 for the week and $15 of that goes to minutes. If you need more, you buy a card at a local grocery. You pick up the phone at the Royal Palm Hotel that is not very far from the airport. Just a few minutes of paperwork - then you drop it off at the front desk at the end of the week. Ask her about signal strenth for your hotel just to be sure. Email her

Amsvoicecom is sucks, don't use there line they are real chitter, they also rob, still money from customer. His owner has no manner becasue he is very cheap guy. we have problem with them. they overcharge each call by minute even if you haven't talk whole minute and also they charge your credit card without your permission. please be carefull with this company and their agent. They also give traing to their agent how you should rob people. If you want to save your self, don't ever go with this company. There are lots of options in the market. If you need just go to their customer in ST. Marteen and asked them about there service. you will find the truth.
