Awesome is all I can say. From what I have read in the past, she knew how to do things in a big way and now glad that she hasn't lost her touch.><

Funny but I started looking at the photos from the bottom up and all of a sudden I'm seeing Norm and wife standing in a VERY familiar spot! I kept looking and saying "That looks like Rainbow?".. Then I looked at the next photo above and voila! Glad I wasn't going crazy! Vicki

Yeah...I think I would have landed up doing the same thing. Being that Rick is strictly meat and potatoes, we have come to realize that a truly good steak dinner should not require anything more than a light au jus sauce, making sure to not mask the taste of the steak. Whenever we go to a restaurant and order steak, if the waiter asks if we want steak sauce, Rick says "We'd better not

All I can say is WOW! What an amazing story tinged with such horrid tales and sadness but ending with a connection that certainly was orchestrated from beyond.

That Balsamic Glaze over the steak sounds familiar....might this be from another site's recipe? I was wondering how that would taste. Let me know.

Barbara wrote a very nice article on her blog today about bringing your own bags for shopping and the rewards for doing so. It's one of her blogs that people should read (not that the other ones aren't informative or downright funny). I do know that there was a prior thread about this but I thought I'd start another one. I had stated last week that I had done my duty as a conc

Sorry Barbara! LMAO.... Vanilla...what else does a meat and potato guy want? But he does put sprinkles and mini M&Ms on it... We also have Cuissinart's. They are great machines! The soft serve is a little tricky but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy. Especially the cleanup. Let me tell you, although this is off-track...this FaceBook thing is amazing! I

Wow..great price!!! We actually have 2 ice cream makers now. One is a soft serve Ice Cream maker and the other is a standard one. Since it's very cold out, we make the soft serve ice cream and it's like having a night out at Dairy Queen. The other I use in the summer for sorbets. For me, it's just too cold for sorbets but having fresh strawberries is making my mouth water for a

April 16th - May 3rd (or May 4th depending on where you read on that website) and here is a website all about it: Seems you will be there at that time but you would need to check the calendar to see what activities are during that time.

There are MANY restaurants in walking/short driving distance of your resort. Too many to even write down. We all have our favorites and off the top of my head, Pineapple Petes (easy drive), Toppers or Toppers by the Sea, The Boathouse, and a few right in your own complex. There are just soooooo many! You should also try the restaurants in Maho as well as the Atlantis Casino complex. Regardin

From what was provided on that link above: Get to Orleans and find the Gess gas station, on the hill side of town. It is on your left if coming from P'burg on the central road and your right if coming from Orient. If you take the "scenic coastal road" from P'burg by Oyster Bay you'll need to turn left when you hit the main street in Orleans. Start looking for the stati

I have never been there but doing a search on this site revealed a conversation a few years ago but I would think still helpful... click on the link... <----- This is what I love about this site vs others is that the history of threads is extensive. You can go back many, many years and find lots of info.

It depends on where exactly you are staying to know if there is WiFi. I do know that if your place does not have WiFi, there are places at the Atlantis Casino that offer free WiFi if you patronize their place. Regarding charging your laptop, I brought along a safety plug so that if there was a power outage, the safety plus would protect it when it went back on. I use Skype to make all my o

You are right Philippe and I don't doubt that. I already know how incompetent the government can be but for the residents to idly sit by and not do anything but complain is equally bad. This is not a political thing where the residents can't participate. This is something that can be done without needing approval or permits or standing in line. It doesn't need anything more than

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions on helping me to remember my bags and good for you Elaine! Those bags are so thin that I can understand how some animals may think of them as jellyfish and try to eat them. When I come down (unfortunately late in the year) I will purchase a bunch for the condo. I would love to become more involved in the solution to the island's problems of tr

Well Barbara...you got me to go green at home. Today I bought 5 bags from the supermarket and will use them when shopping. It's just that I will have to make it a point to remember to take them out of the car before walking into the supermarket. That will be my biggest challenge.

If you want to see some updated photos of the Royal Islander, Patti, a friend of mine is currently there and sent me these photos to share. And this one was taken at Cheri's last night during their special Valentines Show: She said that Tortuga is up and running and serving the usual delicious foods. The kitchens have been upgraded and the lobby upgrade

I would love to have some in my condo for my guests to use! Such a great idea. It's just buying them and getting them there that's my problem. Hopefully by December they'll still be selling them, especially the ones that are pictured on your blog and are sold for the benefit of worthy causes rather than to the store itself.
