I am not sure what that link states but from what I read elsewhere, he can own a business and also get temporary residency, but he can not work in the place he owns. He can only have others run it and just take the profits. Both of you would also have to prove that you had sufficient funds to live there and you would also need to prove that you had all medical coverage. I'm not sure how

Thank you for sharing your "watercolor". I will look forward to seeing the rest of them as well! I am very familiar with PhotoShop and know that it can do amazing things. Some of the photos in my bedroom were watercolored and they look wonderful and so serene. I have also used Painter in the past and although they have basically the same features, Painter had additional neat things

Quoteparking across the street in that huge parking lot. Nowadays, aside from Peg Leg's... talking about sxm and "huge parking lot" in the same sentence is certainly an oxymoron....

Since you're new to this, if you do use Kenny's Car Rental (also great advice) and have the phone delivered with the car for free, you will still have to return the phone to the Royal Palm store on the day of your departure and they only accept cash. You cannot just leave the phone in the car when you drop off the car at the airport. Using Sharon is good advice and if you do rent

As I was eating my lunch today, I came across an interesting article in a Coastal Living Magazine and at the end, they mentioned the following item that they will be putting on the market very soon: Now THIS is a great solution to SXM traffic issues !!!! Think about it...a car AND a boat made for salt water. According to the article in the magazine, this item would probably be going f

That's too bad but just to let you know, we will still be on the island the following week so maybe we can put together another small Pizza Party for those coming that week, even if it's just a few of us. Being that it's "Dutch" treat anyway... What day do you arrive?

Ya know.... with just us as a group....that would make a wonderful casual party! Barabara, glad you may be able to join in. Then you can tell us all about your trip to Jamaica! It won't be a late night thing either. It will probably be early evening so everyone can continue to enjoy the evening wherever they want... And Philippe, if you can make it with William but only on a Monday,

So sorry to hear this but man oh man Barbara...where the heck are you off too now???? You and Dee are now world travelers! I am just so jealous of all the places you've been going. But when you said it was 60 degrees and freezing....that made me laugh.... 60 degrees is the perfect Spring Day for me! When Winter is on it's way out and the temps get to 60 degrees, out come the shorts

So very sorry to hear that. This is an old trick though... We had a house down the shore and while people were at the beach, one perp would stand on the beach watching while the other went into the houses and stole whatever they could grab.

Halloween Weeeeeeekkkkk? Denis, I hope you meant Thanksgiving week.... Will you still be able to drop by? I do hope so! Bob and wife might drop by as well. I think I'm going to call it the "BYONT PP"....(Bring Your Own Name Tag Pizza Party) and whoever has the most ingenious name tag wins (drum-roll)...... well, probably nothing but think about how many people will say &qu

Hmmmm......that does sound like a good plan... Next time Rick makes his deviled eggs, I'll have him make 2 or 3 extra ones. He'll take the whites and I'll try and whip myself up a special Yolk-only batch.... I'll let you know if it works. I would have thought that the whites were needed to make it taste good but thanks for the idea!

Thanks Vinny, Contessa, and Big MacIain for your interesting recipes! I would love those deviled eggs but Rick is not a fan of spicy, hot foods (which I am) but I can't eat eggs (Boo Hiss) and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE eggs too!!!! Rick cooks them on Sunday morning for himself and I literally drool. I can eat the yolks but not the white so even egg beaters is out of the question. Just to let y

I know this is far in advance but anyone who will be on the island the week of 11/29, I thought it would be nice to get together for an informal Pizza Party at the Fashion Cafe under La Terrase. They have a beautiful courtyard where they have tables and umbrellas and serve very nice thin crust pizzas and salads. So if anyone is in the area during that time and would like to join us ("D

Hi Philippe...for some reason I think I remember my Mom making this side dish.... does it have Mediterranean origins? I know that the Greeks use Cucumber sauce on their Gyros so I will assume this is as close as it can get to a side dish rather than a sauce. Yummmm...... thanks as it may bring back some memories...

After reading your post, I stood up and went over to the frig and lo and behold, there is the Island Teriyaki Sauce you mentioned on the door shelf. Yes, you are right, it really is very good. I was given a gift certificate to a small gourmet store in town and so that was one of the items I purchased just because the ingredients looked very good. I would then recommend their line of products a

Making Keftedes are really pretty simple once you get the hang of it. As most cooks do, I actually measure by sight but I'll try my best to give you the closest measurements: Keftedes Meatballs 1 pound ground beef 2 eggs 1/2 of a small onion chopped fine (less if your not into onions) 1 teaspoon dried oregano 6 - 8 fresh mint leaves cut up into tiny pieces 2 tablespoons dried p

This message is to "Chef"...actually I don't have that recipe since his class didn't include that part so no typed recipe, but based on taste, I would say that any simple storebought terikayi marinade would do. Once you mix the chicken bites with the salad and dressing, you somewhat lose the teriyaki taste anyway and envelope yourself with the melding of coconut pineapple fla

I was going to try Splenda as I saw this written somewhere on the net so thanks for the thumbs up on that. Is it the same ratio for making the syrup? Also I prefer lime juice rather than the recommended lemon juice for the syrup. Just adds a great taste to any fruit. I love peach anything but haven't yet made it into sorbet. Guess that's another project and so my shopping list

Wow...who woulda thought! I usually keep a spare package of cole slaw in the frig but I'm usually too lazy to blend the ingredients so having this dressing available would make my life so much better. Now my shopping list is growing...Broccoli, Ken's Vidalia Lite Onion, fresh raspberries... And a recommendation to all those out there that love sorbet...2 years ago I bought a small
