If you want to know about the island, try starting a new post with a better topic title along with your interests and where you plan on staying.

Yes Vinny...it's me...long story on why I became "John" but that happened in 2005. Gert may remember why I chose to do this but not something I want to explain on-line. Sometimes I think of doing a new sign-up under my other name but I guess I'm just too lazy...

OK Pat...I'll give it a try with the raisins BUT I detest wet raisins... they will definitely be pushed to the side on my plate. As long as they add a special taste though, it sounds like it would be worth it.

Yum, yum, yum!!!! You have some great recipes... and I say this because we are really particular with what we eat and like simple ingredients melded together to give unusual tastes. Rick is basically a meat and potato guy. Give him a grilled steak (chicken or pork as well), a baked potato (or fries) and a simple veggie and he's in heaven. Me, I'm a little adventurous but not so much

Thank you Contessa for this warning. And to all out there that have read the above, NEVER EVER click on the links to any ad or reminder from your bank(s) or credit card(s). If they say that you should go to the website to view your statement, then close the e-mail down and go to the real website. I do this even with my monthly bank or credit card e-mails. I know it's tempting to just cli

OK...Since I format the Chef's recipes for his cooking classes, I found it and well worth it too! Keep in mind that it does make alot of dressing though... Coconut Ranch Dressing Ingredients 1 quart Mayonnaise 1 pint Buttermilk 3 cloves Garlic 3 ounces Lemon juice ½ bunch Parsley, chopped 12 ounces Coco Lopez Salt and pepper to taste Tools Blender or food processor Mi

Excellent idea...I think the dried pineapple (or maybe even fresh chunks) would suit both of us. The Club serves an awesome salad called Hawaiian Chicken Salad that's a hit with the Members. They use fresh pineapple chunks so it sounds like a great match with the mayo dressing. If I can find the recipe for the Club's salad, I'm sure you would love it. It's got fresh pine

Again, thank you for another great sounding recipe. Next weekend I'll pick up some broccoli and try it out. Not sure if Rick will go for it as he doesn't like spicy or vinegary things but one never knows do one.... Question though...can the raisins be left out or is this something that is vital? I'm not too keen on raisins...weird because I'll eat raisins out of the box

Just wanted to let Contessa know that I tried her recipe yesterday and was really good. I didn't have all the ingredients so I improvised on a few but still came out really good. I laid the chicken slices on my mandarine-toasted almond salad instead, and so the melding of the peaches and mandarines made for a delightfully fresh summer salad. I didn't drizzle the chicken with the remai

Then you have the smarts to not allow this energy to be transfered which is a wonderful gift! Yes, I certainly agree that good energy can pass between people as well (since I am a Reiki practitioner) but unfortunately the majority of people don't realize that this passing of negative energy is a natural occurence and without realization, can affect the mood immediately and unknowingly. I

And this is how I interpret your beautiful photo in my mind.... Oh... to be in that boat...drifting a little ways out... with a small fishing pole in one hand and the other behind my head acting like a pillow, cushioning it from the dry warm wood, as I lay flat with my eyes gazing up towards the gentle white clouds. Imagining each one a different figure and praying that not one fish bite, that

Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program? A: Can't think of a single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No Pain... Good! Now this is Rick's daily motto!!!!! Thanks for the laugh.

I agree 100% to your statement Philippe that some people just don't know how to respect anyone they believe is beneath them yet expect constant respect in return. Sometimes when I'm sitting in a restaurant and I see people and the way they act, my blood boils. I feel like apologizing to the waitstaff on their behalf (and sometimes I actually do). And based on my beliefs, negative

Hi Keala...I agree that when a person posts a critique, they should at least mention whether it was within the last 3 months, 6 months, 9 months or 1 year. Anything older than 1 year should generally be dismissed because as I mentioned above, the Chef's (or cooks) can change and that almost always makes a difference in either direction. The newer critiques are usually the most accurate. Th

Yes Moulin Fou is a very good restaurant. I can say that we've been there a few times as well and enjoyed all our meals. I would put this in the high end classification though for anyone interested in the cost. In my opinion Moulin Fou is worth the visit as opposed to the other high-end restaurants in Maho (except maybe Bajatzu). Sorry to hear about your visit to the other restaurant.

Hey Bigdenx...you noticed... And Philippe...that's why we can't go to really expensive restaurants...no kids! But seriously, I have heard nice things about the place but didn't hear about them until after we had left the island. I believe that they are located upstairs on the side of the Sopranos restaurant? Is that correct?

We haven't had the chance to visit there but I did see it and heard nice things about the place. Maybe this next trip we'll try it out. How would you rate their pricing...low, medium, high, or bring your first born as a down payment....
