That's exactly what I thought as well. Maybe they didn't update their website to include this special offer. I did read about their caring and may send a donation anyway. I'm just a sucker for any living being with 4 legs... 2 legs...well that's another story....

Thanks Barry for the photo and the location. I have always believed in the "if you build it (right) they will come" theory. To me, building a highly desireable resort in an undesireable area, can only begin to improve everything around it. Look at what happened in Atlantic City. It went from a beautiful city back in the days, to a perfectly horrible, dark, foreboding and decaying city

Exactly what location is it on the island? I don't know names of areas as well as I know landmark buildings or beaches. And saying that it is in a bad location has me puzzled. From the aerial, it seems like the perfect remote setting for a very private resort. What would you say is the reason for it being in a bad location? Just curious. I can see what you said about the seagrass...

What a good ending to what could have been disasterous. I, personally, am so appreciative of your updates and knowing that your welfare has been the utmost of concern from both the Gendarmerie and the residents. It must truly be a good feeling to realize this as it makes me feel that there is hope for better times. Crime will never totally disappear but the support that's needed in the

Argh....one of my frogs was killed by a stray cat last week (very upset) and who would of thought I could have buried him right in the pond.... This would have then made my Koi and Shubunkins very happy I guess. Talk about recycling.... Regarding help in this dream, unfortunately I have already invested enough in a condo on the island so my finances would never allow such a luxury as this..bu

Hey...Bbylund...you're actually stealing my dream? If so, you'd better do a dmn good job making it exactly how I now envision it to be right down to the spa house built over a well stocked and cared for Koi pond... And if, in fact, you are serious...I wish you success in achieving such a wonderful dream. Best Regards, Vicki

As always, thank you Philippe for your detailed answer. And now I dream away... It's so sad that this relatively small stretch of land has not yet been rescued. If I had the money, I would buy up this property and make it the most romantic area on the island with fire lit cobblestone walkways and romantic evening gardens. The rooms would reak of "a far away place" and I would

Congratulations as well with your new condo!!! Where, may I ask did you purchase? We are now owners at Rainbow Beach Club as of April of this year.

That is wonderful news! It seems that many times people are victims of crimes and leave the island before any possible identification can be made which puts a damper on the police actually wanting to go out and look for the criminals. Without positive ID, it's almost impossible to convict so that is so good that you remained there to help ID them!!!!! Good for you!!!!

Dear poster...so very, very sorry to hear that you were a victim of a criminal act. It is unnerving to say the least. I do hope that your recovery is speedy. But I am also glad to see that you still love the island for all it has to offer. We too closed on a condo this past year and so I feel bad that this diminished your celebrations. You will just have to set up another "makeup"

From what I have read (and I am assuming they were talking about CoCo's), they do not honor this form of sunbathing any longer. Because of this, I would also assume that it would suit your best interests to take a walk down to Club Orient if you would prefer to sunbathe totally nude where you will not have any issues.

I have not stayed at the Atrium but I have heard only good things about the place. It is very clean and well run. The beach there is nice although small. Yes, it is highly recommended to rent a car, only because there is so much to see on this tiny island. There are many beaches to visit around the island and driving to the French side during the day will show you a less congested area. Beac

Hope you had a grand time riding your golf cart! That must have been fun. I love riding in the carts where I work. I wish we could ride things like that around town! I rode in ours as well and loved seeing all the adults and children come out to support our country's Independence Birthday.

I just don't understand why such beautiful property (looking at that aerial) would have not been snatched up by one of the current developers? The property is already built upon and it looks like it may have been a very romantic setting at one time with the stone walkways and such. It even has a pretty beach too...Unless the reason is because it's on the French side and the taxes and r

And like me as well! I do that all the time and still can't find my sunglasses that I needed for my trip back in April and put somewhere where I wouldn't forget! Irina, check the drawer closest to the table you would be sitting at if you were playing Rummi Cubes and by the way... I LOVE THAT GAME!!! That was one of the items I packed away in our condo for playing while on the island.

I'd also like to add that I could not do without PhotoShop at my job and that having the knowledge of this program is essential if any child (or even adult)ever wants to go into the Desktop Publishing/Graphics field. Well worth the investment.

I think that if you notify them that you will need international calling, then it should not be a problem. Whenever I have brought my Verizon phone to sxm (for emergencies) once I get on the island, the service changes over to international but you would need to contact them before traveling and tell them this. Maybe if you call them about this, that person will be more familiar with coverage a

Try to send your problem to Gert who manages this site. Maybe he will be familiar with this issue. It does sound strange and for the life of me, can't figure out why this would happen.

Will she have a laptop computer with her or access to a computer? If so, she and you should join Skype which is a free telephone service if both parties are Members. It's computer to computer or can also be computer to land/cell phone (that would cost a few pennies a minute) but the quality is like using a regular telephone. All you both would need are headphones with mics attached for com
