Maclain, We too love St John and get there whenever we can. The snorkeling in St. John is superlative to Sint Maarten, on French and/or Dutch side. Do not expect good snorkeling in Sint Maarten. BigMaclain, Listen to what Andrea said. Maho Food Express is MUCH closer than Cafe Atlantico. Quick walk over to get baguettes, croisants etc. Also good lunch buffet as BigDenx mentioned. Barbara, As you know we are at the Atrium and woke up around 5 am smelling poop! We thought it was the bedding but it didn't smell before so........... By 7 am we got up, couldn't take it anymore. Of course there was an earth mover outside our window banging and lumbering up Onyx Street so sleep was finished anyway. And yes the other day it stunk from Maho, Simpson Bay Beach etc.

Sandra, I think it is a lovely idea that you have. I for one would recommend Le Bec Fin. It is on the Dutch side, on Pelican Hill. They have a lovely deck that overlooks Kim Sha beach that would be perfect. The food is divine and service is very good. The best part is they charge in Dollars not Euros so you get more bang for your buck. Any of the restaurants can recommend florist and baker.

Beach bar, ribs etc are the way to go. I used to love the burgers at Bucanneer but haven't been there in a year. Ribs definetly from Lido's. Rosie's at Mullet Bay are good too. Have fun, Cheers irina
