yea, I know it's on my receipts too but it's not 1.80 it's actually 1.79 or somewhere in between 1.79 would be $120.36 1,80 would be $119.69 it's only pennies difference though.

I don't know what size she bought but the prices? well, roughly, divide in half and then add 10%. $5.00 = FLs9.00 $3.00 = FLS5.40 $4.00 = FLS7.20 $20.00 = FLS18.00 that is at a 1.80 exchange.. some grocery stores like Grand Marche have a 1.77 exchange I think. if you have a calculator: dollars to guilders, multiply x 1.8 or 1.77 guilders to dollars, divide by 1.8 or 1.77

Wednsday and Saturday mornings are the morning when more vendors are there. the fish and produce sellers are there every day as well as some of the souvenir and arts and crafts sellers.

what? are you kidding? the Today wrote the most anti gay racist editorial on the inciednt. Most people were outrgaed by what they wrote. fair minded? I don't think so. yes, 99 percent of the people here live in harmony. There was nothing harmonious about what that newspaper wrote.

MIchael just a thought. maybe you could check out Captain Oliver's which is near you. it's a hotel, restaurant and marina. maybe there are some fishermen bringing in their catch there. I'm not sure. as an aside, I ate in a great restaurant in the Oyster Pond area. it's called Tabba Khady. maybe you would like to try it. it is really nice.

2169. Re: Sharks
don't get scared scottie. we're talking about out on the reefs and far from shore. the way things are going in Florida, I definitely would watch those alligators though :-)

2170. Re: Sharks
of course, there are sharks in the waters, but they do not come in close to shore. occasionally someone sees a small sand shark, but that is very rare. I certainly have never seen one myself. If you go out diving and are on the reefs, you would see some reef sharks. In fact one of the dive companies here offers a shark feeding dive.

It's a good trip. the best way I think is to go through Grand Case and come down to Marigot from there. I would say give yourself at least 45 minutes

Rima's is for beach wear.. has nothing to do with food. the market in marigot has fish, produce, fruits, and vendors that sell souvenirs. In order to get your choice of seafood, you should be there aroiund 7 am....at the latest, be there at 8 AM..otherwise, almost everything is gone.

message from irina: Hi Michael P. Early means about 6am-6:30. There is also a fish market in Simpson Bay, near the bridge to Isle de Sol. Early there also. There are good meats on the island and lots of stuff you can't find in the US so shopping here is fun for a chef. There is also a little gourmet grocer in Marigot on Rue Anguille that I like to go to. They have meats there (gr

Le Grand Marche for your groceries. that is at the roundabout just outside Philipsburg. There also is a supermarket on the eastern end of Philipsburg claled Sang's that is well stocked. for towels and beach chairs, go to Cost U Less. That store is just around the corner from le grand Marche and is behind KFC. It's like a Costco. no membership needed.

what is wrong with these developers? is the greed is so much that they are just building higher and higher with no thought to the owners? a similar thing happened at Rainbow. people who bought and bought with a view now have found out that there is no view because building plans were changed and a wall now blocks the view. go figure!

It is scheduled to be open August 15th with opening celebrations taking place until Septmeber 1st. I would guess however that it will not be fully functional until close to the end of the year.

Augie, what do you think animal rights activists have to do with that? It seems to me that the real cause of this problem is over expansion by humans.. ...building, developing, and encroaching into wild animals territories.. so that their homes are threatened and dstroyed. This is certianly the case with many of the endangered species of the world.

Are you talking about the dolphin swim in Anguilla? There is no dolphin swim in St. Maarten. Please before you decide to do a dolphin swim, do some research. We all have a dream to swim with dolphins but most dolphin programs are terrible. They are only interested in profit and don't give the best care to the animals. It is a known fact that dolphins in captivity do not live as long as the

yes, it is French cul de sac. and to answer your question, Zeke, Pinel is a nice place to spend the day. Many cruise ship visitors do that.
