you can purchase in the airport after security and carry it on IF you have a direct flight. If you have to change planes you will have to pack it in checked luggage for the second portion of your trip.

OMG Pat you guys are really getting hit aren't you? how much snow do they expect you will get up there? I just talked to my daughter in NY. she said it is doing everything there..snow,rain,sleet. what a mess I bet there are some upset travelers today who couldn't get down here as planned. so I will not complain. Happy St. Patrick's day!

Poulet d'Orleans. right on the top of the hill as you leave Orleans going towards Orient. You sit and eat on the front porch of the fmaily home and the food is local and very good.

I agree, Edgar unfortunately all the gourmet French side restaurants are more expensive now with the Euro exchange, unless they are giving 1 to 1. I love Sol e Luna, think the food is great, the setting fabulous, but would only go for a special occasion as it is expensive.. but I feel that way about a lot of restaurants on the French side.

I wonder why was this post brought back to life a year after the last post? it seems to me to be a way to instigate trouble. and, Jeff , with all due respect, it is not fair to condemn the whole island because of the actions and comments of a few ignorant people. however, rather than allow a warto start again, I am closing the thread.

This is the best explanation I found for it. It is from Phillippe, owner of Tabba Khady Restaurant in Oyster Pond. I am quoting him.. thanks Phillippe. the French side is France and under French Law. Restaurantor are not and should not be exempt to respect it. More and more of them , unscrupuleous and dishonest toward our touristic clientele, are adding service charge on the top of the Bill a
