I'd be concerned if my name was used and it was being badmouthed. However, I'm trying to understand how some say their stay was the worst they've ever experienced and others quite the opposite. We own 2 wks (Dec) and even though the place could use a facelift inside and out, our stays have not been anything near what some report back. Aside from the Verdiers misusing our Mainte

NO....they were thrown out about a year ago....there isn't anything at present occupying that building. I just recently read that another casino is moving in very shortly.

Unit 361 is in the new building 3. We didn't have any tiny ants in either the Villa or the Unit and we did notice ant traps discreetly placed in the kitchens. Both were clean when we arrived. Reference: Unit 3 (Bldg #) 6 (flr) 1 (room)

We were at the Sapphire 12/8-20. The first week was at our Villa and the second week was in our Unit 361. Overall, the place looks good. New furniture in the lobby....nice but uncomfortable and not inviting. The grounds were green and maintained. The Villa (13) was clean...they redid the tile around the plunge pool to a non-slip type, much better. Pool was clean. Same old furniture with new cushi

We've also eaten at Le Charlelois (sp) and were very disappointed with the food. The waitress did nothing but complain about the owner 'stealing' the tips and the food was horrible tasting. Will never go again!

IF you are talking about the Dolphin Swim in Anguilla.....we were told in December by a former employee who was laid off that it was closed for at least 6 mos.

How did you sell them back? We've been trying for a few years. Patrick (Sales Manager) tells us they don't buy back. We've given them a small fee to sell our weeks...going on a few years and not one bite. Interesting. Remember the new furniture, etc is coming on the boat from Indonesia....taking the scenic route for the past few years! Were you a part of the Sapphire litigation? I

We were on it 2 yrs ago and loved it. It was a windy day so were weren't able to go to all of the places listed for snorkeling. The snorkeling was great and so was the lunch on the boat. They don't allow more than 18-20 people per trip which is nice. You can also try asking your question by going over to www.traveltalkonline.com for more input, too.

We use Kenny's all the time we are in SXM. He is the best on the island in our opinion.

Great to hear that it's starting to come back upt to par. We'll be there for 2 wks in Dec and are quite curious to see for ourselves what's going on. We never really had any problems with the Sapphire. They responded quickly (island time) to any maintenance problems we encountered and the rooms, jacuzzi, plunge pool (villa) were always clean. Staff mostly friendly. We tip the maids

Did you get the Sapphire Newsletter telling you of all the wonderful things they have and are doing? They also are politely asking those who did not pay the SA to do so so they can continue with all the upgrades, etc. You can also personally write to Mr Olliver of any concerns or questions you may have. Of course he doesn't leave you his e-mail address and if you do find it, odds are he will

It is my understanding that there is a lot of paperwork necessary. You must be able to fill a void that the locals cannot fill first. Also, if you do get a job "off the books" you will eventually get caught and be 'deported' back home.

We have always used Kenny's Car Rental. If Lesley hasn't gotten back to you within 24 hrs it would be do to the internet service on the island being down. We love to see his smiling face when we arrive.....we then know we are in paradise!

Ditto on the car rental. Lesley Bruce (Kenny's Car Rental) is the best. We've used his services for years. To see his friendly face at the airport we know we are finally in paradise. Reach him at bruce@sintmaarten.net

Check out TTOL ( www.traveltalkonline.com ) There is a lot of legal stuff going on about the Special Assessments. Seem quite a few of the timeshares are starting to bill the Timeshare owners. Pelican, Sapphire, etc. We are refusing to pay this assessment with Sapphire and have joined a litigation group (Sapphire owners) to stop it. Appears it is illegal as per the SXM lawyers hired. We did bank
