Saw your also B. I have not been able to get to my balcony all day with the shutters down. When the wind changed from off the Lagoon to off the Sea, I was able to go out the front door and walk around on the walkways and stairwells without getting blown away. I may try again in a little bit, if for no reason other than to get away from this noise!

You are correct, Philippe. French Lowlands there is a good stretch that has NO lighting at all. A very dark and winding road. We actually refuse to drive thru there at night. Even though we live just on the border, we return home thru Cole Bay rather than drive that road on the few occasions we are "over there" in the evening.

Just to clarify - Cupecoy is fairly well lit and will be bright as day once the new road and sidewalk project is finished. The road through the golf course is also fairly well it. No dark spots.

Got it! Used a different browser and it works fine! What incredible pictures!!!! Only up to 100, but they are wonderful. I think I have a picture of that same tamarind tree, taken last year. Beautiful tree! And the shot of the mangroves (#11 I think) is lovely.

Some things don't change. The friendliness of the people and peace and quiet in Terres Basse are things you will still find here. Altho you will see it more built up, I'm sure. It's still exclusive on the island. Have fun! The only place we DON'T go is Pic Paradise. And I actually would go there, with a tour group.

Never used euros here yet! A little closer if you don't need a huge grocery is the new Gourmet Marche in Porto Cupecoy. Same prices as Grand Marche, but not as big a selection.

I like mine over ice. Sipped nice and slow to savor the flavor. When I don't have Tortuga Vanilla, I love the Ma DouDou Passion fruit. I have heard of some crazy folks who pour it over ice cream. Can you imagine? Is it 5 o'clock yet?

Thanks for the review. It seems you pretty much got what others have said about the place. I've never stayed at Towers, but I do have a couple of comments about it in general. The water (and electricity) go out here all the time. No fault of the resort, but the power company. Folks here are so used to it, we just go on about our day. hence the reaction from the staff. They should have
