Sad to see it abandoned and looking so dilapidated. I remember it in its hey day, late 60s early 90s. Wasn't it used as an army base some years ago ? or am I thinking of something else ? The beach at 5.15 looks pretty enough.

Speaking of locally made ice creams, does anyone know if that sweet old lady is still selling home-made coconut ice cream out of a wooden salt ice bucket, under a tree just outside Marigot ? Her ice cream was/is very delicious, not too creamy but full of coconut milk and bits, though a bit pricey for the amount you get. I hope shes still around.

Wow ! Those really were the good old days ! I can just imagine how pristine the beaches must have been back then.
