Headed up by Captain Neil. If you choose them, you'll have a wonderful time with fabulous food and a great day you'll remember as a highlight of your trip. Enjoy!

I check both of these sites and others too but I have never seen anyone over there (TTOL) badmouth this site....is there some insecurity from some of you? Just take in the good information that is out there and forget the rest, I don't get it?

Just got home today after 10 wonderful days. We had a few windy days and some late afternoon or very early morning showers but all in all, the weather did not interfere with anything. I'm home and got a nice tan and some great memories and new friends. Enjoy!

I believe that L'Hoste is closer to the beach if that is important.

Karen, I've never heard of Beauty III but a fellow named Neil operates a boat called the Celine and does the cruises and here's his website. He is very good, serves great meals, etc. I'm part of a group going with him in January. I always get to Happy Bay by walking from Friar's BEach up a grassy hillside. You are probably closer and it will likely be easier for you alt

I'm easily confused. I usually go from Friar's Beach up the path on the hillside. Is the other way alot easier. and if so, should I enter by the military installation and just park my car there? Or do we continue driving and get much closer? I'm not sure where the french hospital is. Thanks, Rick

If anyone is familiar with Tabba Kahdy's, can you advise whether I should make reservations even before my trip or can I make them a day or 2 in advance while on SXM? Thanks, Rick

If you do good things but act like an ass when you get drunk, you deserve any criticism that comes your way.

Az Guy, So if I am trying the Grand Case directions, once I get to the gate, are you saying I should park and walk? if not, what do I do and how far of a walk is it fro there?

I don't know how to decribe the road you take to Happy Bay but I understand you usually have to get out of your car and drop a chain that crosses the road and then drive on back by the villas that have sat for years unoccupied (or at least they looked it) Someone with better knowledge of the island can describe what street it is that you cut off of.

Ben, From the market area, can you provide some directions to Ft St. Louis? We've never been there and we do like to visit the market a couple times. Thansk, Rick

First of all, you'll see alot of crappy roads and heavy traffic but just relax. We are arriving on 1-5 and staying on Orient also. I would try several beaches. My favorites are Orient, Cupecoy, Happy Bay, Friars and Mullett. There are others that you can just take a side road of of and it will lead you to a beach. Try some of the local food sold at "lolos" They are a great bar

Just use common sense. I think most areas are safe to walk through but you can't take unnecessary chances. I think you'll be fine.

We've been to Cupecoy the past 3 yrs and although we've heard stories, I have never seen any of these locals hanging around. As for crime, common sense is usually the key to avoiding problems.

tom, I have not stayed there for a few years and Orient Village nearby was really not completed so can you suggest any restaurants in walking distance from our place?

Leandra, Although I know many love the place, we found Talk of the Town to be a place we would not return too. This is very gross but a few years ago, the cook also fixed a stopped up toilet while we were there....

You are certainly right about the steepness of the loft steps. If you drink too much, you sure don't want to fall backwards, you'll spend the rest of vacation in the hospital. I loved the balcony. I think I slept out there once or twice
