I'm easily confused. I usually go from Friar's Beach up the path on the hillside. Is the other way alot easier. and if so, should I enter by the military installation and just park my car there? Or do we continue driving and get much closer? I'm not sure where the french hospital is. Thanks, Rick

saw your comments, sound like you know alot about St. Martin

We are party of seven rented a villa in March 2007 somewhere in the Happy Bay area. From the above comments is sounded like that area is not very easily get to by car...is that true??

And do you know anything about a private boat charter? we are looking into a private day charter with Beauty III that depart out of MARINA FORT LOUIS MARIGOT

any suggestion and comments are greately appreciate

Karen, I've never heard of Beauty III but a fellow named Neil operates a boat called the Celine and does the cruises and here's his website. He is very good, serves great meals, etc. I'm part of a group going with him in January.

I always get to Happy Bay by walking from Friar's BEach up a grassy hillside. You are probably closer and it will likely be easier for you although it's not bad for me either.
