the Sean Goldman case

I don't know if any of you have been following the Sean Goldman case. he is the young child who was taken to Brazil by his mother. The father has been trying to get him back for over 4 years.
The father was on the TODAY show this morning.
I just received this email from a friend of mine who encourages all to go to the link provided and sign the petition.
It can't hurt and it may make a difference.

Hey guys-

An old friend of mine is in Brazil working on this case with Rep Chris Smith (NJ). It is at a critical juncture- if you have a sec, would you mind signing the petition to bring this child back to his father? The media attention on it right now is quite high (finally). Most of you know this high profile case. He said public outrage is crucial. There is a demonstration / protest being organized here in DC at the Embassy of Brazil. If you are interested, I will let you know once I hear the details. I hear people are flipping out there on a daily basis.

Whatever it takes.

B, I never heard of the case! I just got off the web site and that is so sad. I do hope the father gets his son back. I did sign the petition.

I watched the segment on Today this morning. It does sound like something may be done now that the media has hold of it. Just the fact that he was finally able to see his son is encouraging.

I signed the petition as well. Thanks Barbara for sending it to me. All I am hoping for at this point is that this man does not take the child and hide him from both the Brazil and US authorities which, unless things are done quickly, will happen.
