Mullet Bay

I have had a time share at the Towers @ Mullet Bay for 12 years. In the beginning it was heaven! But since the hurrican in 1995 it is a disaster area. Has anything been done to fix it up? I haven't been there in 2 years and am very anxious to be coming back in mid-September. Last time I was there it was unsettling driving from Maho to the Towers at night. Anyone know how it is now?

No change....it's like it was the last time you were there. Doesn't seem like much is happening regarding the lawsuit, etc.

thanks for the info on mullet bay. discouraging is the best way i can describe it. i read an article on-line re lawsuit and rebuilding deadline. it has been 10 years, i think the deadline is past. is it safe to drive through? that is my major concern. by the way how is everything after the flood. i have read so much about it and i feel so badly for everyone there. i was there a few years ago for a hurricane and that was pretty discouraging. everyone works so hard to keep what they have and mother nature just keeps it up.

I just came back and drove thru the Mullet complex many times at night to the Atlantis casino.. never had a problem. I stayed on the main road the whole time, and honestly did feel better with other cars travelling at the same time. I know the property still has 'issues' to be resolved, it's a shame that whoever it is cannot just agree to atleast improve the lighting on that road.

My trip was wonderful.. was my 17th year back if not mistaken.. definitely not a first timer, that's for sure.. I don't own at the Towers though, I own at Divi.. I was much luckier at the Atlantis Casino that those closer.. so the trip thru Mullet was well worth it..

Have a wonderful trip!..

We Go to the Towers every year and I don't have a concern whatsoever. Yes it looks like hell driving in from the airport, but do the streets of any Metropolitan City in the US look any different? I was there for 10 days in May, my parents for three weeks. NO problem. Go and enjoy yourself.

Dr. Doug sent me this picture he took in March at Mullet Bay. He asked me to post it here, given the recent discussion.
The words are somehow more than appropriate, aren't they? I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
thanks, Dr. Doug, for the photo!
It gave me a good chuckle!

This one is my favorite, its right outside the Towers entrance on the main road near the parking area of what were a few of the buildings!

And in case of some language confusion!!

it's safe to drive through, but I sure wouldn't stop there at night. If you get a flat, ,my advice would be to drive on your rims till you get to cupacoy or Maho.

The light condition is better now. We often walked to Atlantis and Maho.
