Just a little tought also : those email addresses, Tourism Office and Politicians are about the French side, so when you send your email, make sure they are relevant of the French Side, because if you write about crime situation which occured in Philipsburg, Maho, or anywhere else on the dutch side, I know for a fact, that they will disregard them and not pass them on the concerned party of the D

I know I will be blasted for that, but, does cricket isn't the European version of Baseball? Like Rugby would be for the American Football? with few rules difference and maybe some differences in the tool too?...

All right, here is a panorama of Galisbay, with the Grand St Martin at the bottom. You can see that it is also different and extended to compare with the second picture of Barbara. They didn't stopped to built. But the most important in this picture that's the mountain in the background! They match the ones in the Barbara's original picture. So, IMO it is really the Grand St Martin

I beleive there were two version of the Grand St Martin... The first one, smaller and more quaint hotel, and then they leveled it down and built the new one (in Barbara's last picture) much bigger and less quaint... Now, today it is a private appartement complex, like the former Mt Vernon Hotel. Each room unit had been sold privatly, and it look like a mess... How sad!

And Golden Tulip on Cul de Sac was also built and owned by my good Friends Mallortigues, who built and owned the Grand St Martin and also built and developped Marina Royale as I mentioned in another post.

Yes you can tell Pure coincidence, Barbara mentioned it this morning in another thread, and realised afterward that I posted a quiz about it, so she edited her other post and removed the name. She has this postcard too...

Like I said to Barbara, I was extremly close to the Mallortigues Family (of France) who built the Grand St Martin and developped Marina Royale, since they were the ones who looked after me when I was doing my studies in France and my Parents were still in Africa, but now they are all dead, so I cannot call anyone to confirm. But like I said also to Barbara, the buildings really look familiar to m

We are back and forth with Barbara on email about this picture since this morning. My first guess was Le Gd St Martin because of Galisbay on the background. I don't think it the Pirate though, nor the old St tropez hotel, because if it was, I beleive you could see some part of Marigot on the backround... The beach seems to go up to the end, which it would not be the case if it was Le Pirat

Sardinia Yacht Club? that's where William and I were living during few years! Wonderfull location, but not during hurricane though! We went through Lenny in that house, and we were VERY shaked... Lost the deck, lost the pool, the house was lifted up from its foundation, lost part of the roof, destroyed the concrete of the wall... After this hurricane, everytime it was rainy, the water was co

The wind are not taking the smell this way toward Oyster Pond, and since I am LOCKED in this area since weeks now and didn't came down to civilisation since a while I cannot say. But I know that the small lagoon of Oyster Pond got tendancy to stink a little bit since few days... I think on this side that's because of the heat and the water warming up, the algues are dying and stink. Don
