Owning a timeshare at Oyster Bay is different than most timeshares. You buy a week either one each week every year or one every other year. When you make your reservation you can request whatever you want. However there is a surcharge and it goes up depending on the unit you requested. I hear there maybe some deal on line.

We had no trouble renting last summer. I would suggest paying a dollar or two and park in a lot rather then park on the street. This all depends which side of the island you are staying. We stayed at Oyster Bay and a car is a must!

Barbara why will they not take a credit card? Everyone else does! We love the island and coming back this year for two weeks!

We had no problems getting gas on the Dutch side. Bring your calculator because they do not take credit cards (only cash) and the pump is in their currency. I felt we were ripped off on the conversion rate to the US dollard

I just received ther news letter and construction has just started. I do not think the pool area is being touched. However, I assume the demolision which is next the pool mat cause some dust and noise. However, the beach area is well away from the construction. When you return please give me an actual update because we are looking at spending two weeks in June. Enjoy!

We are new to St. Martin but I really enjoyed the ribs and chicken on the beach. I understand both sides but when we return for two weeks in June I hope they are still cooking.

The Westin hotel is beautiful and Dawn beach also. You are pretty far from the airport (15 minutes) and should be no airport noise. You will need a car to travel around the island. Enjoy and good lick!

Driving on the island at night is difficult. I strongly suggest you do not drink and drive.

The hotel is beautiful and you will enjoy the beach and the pool. However, when it comes to night life you must have a car and travel about 15 minutes. I would guess the roads are about the same as they were 20 years ago so drive safely. MaMa's Pizza just up the road on the French side is a must.

I understtod construction was to begin in July. We are planning on returning and I was wondering how it is going and how it affects the rest of the property including the pool.

My wife and I returned in July and I was really impressed with the Weston property. It is beautiful and the beach is to die for. However, during slower season they seem to cut back and only had limited food.

Miami is the worst customs location in the US. If you have a choice between DC or Miami I surely would go for DC.

I agree Miami airport is a drag. It took my wife and I three hours to get to our connecting gate.

My daughter and a friend took the Rhino rides. They were ok but not great. However, they are a short cab ride from downtown and the bar on the dock had good.

I enjoyed the new Westin property and the casino. You talk about the car have a difficult time going up the hill, you should try and walk it. Good luck!

I am not sure about the boats name but it is operated by a husband and wife who are Dutch. You snorkel and visit three private islands. It may not be as good as Aruba snorkling but I really enjoyed it. The cost was $45.00 US per person. The boat is located at the marina by Oyster Bay. You can just stop by or call the resort for info. You could also go out to dinner at MaMa's pizza wh

Tap water is good so don't waste your money on bottled water. It costs more than beer.

You most likely will not have too much time. If shopping is not your thing I would rent a car and head for the beach! I have only been there once but I enjoyed Dawn and Orient beaches.

There are no tricks to the driving. Just take the insurance and drive. GPS would be great but not sure they have it. Enjoy your trip

My wife and two 20 year olds just return. To say the least the trip was the best. Food was excellant but a little expensive. We were staying at Oyster Bay and we found Mr B's on the beach to be the best. Also down the road we found a little place called MaMa's pizza. Great food cheap and a beautiful view. We got out of there for $100 US for the four of us. Keep in mind they onl
