It sounded like they had paid the tax, but were trying to get it back, based upon the letter. Did I misunderstand the article?

I've rented a 20' century and done some inshore fishing. Trolling caught mostly small tuna and barracuda. Stopped in a few bays and caught bonefish and others. I think it was aquamarine or something like that. A couple doors towards the airport from Ric's which I guess, has a new name.

Nice report. Turtle Pier has appeared to have taken a turn for the worse after the ownership change.

We timeshare owners should keep one or two in each unit, so we never need to add to the plastic problem. One in the trunk of each rental car might be a good idea also.

Did a week in DR. You definitely can't drink the water or use ice from ice machines. Spent most time in resort, Did take taxi to play golf and go to a nearby casino. Highlight was my wife hit slot machine for $1800. I don't think I'd go back, but it was inexpensive. You get what you pay for.

Do your shopping early morning or late afternoon to avoid the cruisers. saturday is usually the best day to avoid a lot of ships.

As you'll be right next to the bridge, you can head towards P'Burg when it's open. If it's your first time on the island, you might only want to rent a car for a few days, as there's a lot to do in your area. Or you might take a bus to a beach or town,

I would also suggest shopping after 4 pm. Most of the cruisers are heading back to their ships.
