Irina, Sorry, I stand corrected. I know there was post on TTOL a while ago from someone who got sick (or spouse got sick) and said there was no MRI machine..I do not recall the details but they had quite a bit trouble getting treatment/diagnosis for something rather serious. Nobody came on and disputed this fact, so I presumed it was true. It's something I pay a lot of attention to, s

Our trip to SXM for Dec 2008 is booked and paid for, so we will making that trip. I think Richard would have skipped this year if I had not insisted (we own a timehare). I have a feeling that he may win next year when he suggests another destination...timeshare or not.

BobP..I thought the same thing at first but then read the post again and CarolV says: Quotelovely restaurant in Phillisburg with the giant palm tree growing through the middle of it-something Royale so I think she must be talking about somewhere else. I do agree with you about the wonderful part, though .

I was not looking for the shore, then, I was looking more for New England. Like I said I know people do this and have good luck, I didn't...maybe I looked too early, who knows. I dropped my memberships in both, so I'm out of that game. I have always wanted to go to Newport..what a nice trip (especially in Aug.)

I've never heard of timeshare in SXM the could not be traded, but that's not to say there are none. BUT my experience in attempting to get a trade in New England, or any of the Midatlantic States was unsuccessful, with 9 + months notice. There were a few available for times of the years that nobody wants to go or for places that get poor reviews. I had both RCI and II and different time

Augie..you are the man... I found it and this is what it says... QuoteYou may include two liters of alcoholic beverages with this $800 exemption, as long as one of the liters was produced in one of the countries listed above (see section on Sending Purchases from Insular Possessions and Caribbean Basin or Andean Countries). FYI the "countries above" are: QuoteAntigua and Bar

Richard..I guess if he were seated next to you on the plane you'd want to sadly, just you have to sit there, grin (or not) and bear it. Flying is necessary evil, I'm just glad I no longer fly for work. The kickers(behind me) the drunks (I was on flight where a women kept yelling every time the plane lurched at all) omg we're going to crash (that was most of the way from KC Mo to

The reason this story caught my eye was it brought to mind my legendary flight from Denver to Philly next to the nicest but one of the largest men I had even seen and he was seated next to me. This was a work trip and my co-worker (who was seated on the other side of me...I was in the middle) retells the story quite often (this was many years ago). The guy was the sweetest guy ever but gezz

I find this interesting...Again I can't find anything other than this from the official customs website: QuoteAlcoholic Beverages One liter (33.8 fl. oz.) of alcoholic beverages may be included in your exemption I find nothing about a Caribbean exemption or 2 liters on the government website. When we came back from SXM in December we brought back more than our allowance and declared it a

From Homeland Security (Customs/Border Patrol): QuoteAlcoholic Beverages One liter (33.8 fl. oz.) of alcoholic beverages may be included in your exemption if: You are 21 years old. It is for your own use or as a gift. It does not violate the laws of the state in which you arrive. Federal regulations allow you to bring back more than one liter of alcoholic beverage for personal use, but
