Hello all. My wife and I are heading back down for our annual vacation and we are trying to line up our car rental. We've used Leslie at Kenny's for the last 7 years but I can't seem to get a hold of him via email. Is he still in business? If not does anyone have any recommendations for another rental company?

I too recommend Dive Adventures at the Pelican marina. We've used them for the past 3 years and they are very professional. They are much cheaper than Dive Safari's and you won't get stuck with the cruise ship crowd. Mano or Jeff are good dive masters and Vinny, the shop manager runs a tight ship. They dive many different sights and take the effort to make sure you don't r

My wife and I have been to SXM many times and snorkel together. We have a little water proof container (available at a lot of stores maybe even Walmart) that we put cash, credit card, license and keys into when we snorkel and I just tow it along around my neck. It's only about the size of a pack of cigarettes so it's not too cumbersome. We plan our trips to the beach to bring only wh

Here is a link for lodging at Statia. You have to catch a Winair flight over from SXM.

Ok thanks for the info. We'll be down in September so I'll have to check again once we get a little closer to our arrival.

Does anyone know how much it costs to park overnight at the airport. I know in the past that it was pretty expensive. We're looking at heading over to Statia for a night and need to leave our car at the airport or just take a taxi from the Belair, which ever is cheaper.

I was thinking of heading over to St. Barts next month while we are down in SXM. What is the best way to get around and see the sights. Is it best to rent a car or to get a taxi to act as a tour guide. What would be the expected cost of renting a car vs. getting an all day taxi? Thanks

Yes Delta includes the fees in the ticket price. We've flown them for the last 2 years with no problems.

I'm not talking about airline service. I was looking for rental aircraft that as a private pilot you can fly yourself. I'm fully aware of winair and the other small airlines i've flown them before.

Hello got an idea and I want to see what you all think. I'm a private pilot in the U.S. and I've been to St. Maarteen several times and noted that there is no way to rent an airplane down there. I know I would personally love to be able to rent a plane and hop around the local islands. Does anyone know if this type of business has ever been tried in SXM. Also does anyone know a good

Sharks are definately not a concern. My wife and I are avid scuba divers and have dove the waters around SXM MANY times and rarely have we seen sharks. By the way, we did the shark dive offered on the island and it is conducted as an eduacational dive not merely a tourist trick. The shark dive helps educate divers and is done infrequently so as to not associate divers with food which would be

Kenny's Car rental without a doubt!!! www.kennyscarrental.com You won't be disappointed. This is not a promotion but a very strong recommendation from a repeat renter from kenny (Lesley Bruce). Give him a try you won't be disappointed.

I would also like to suggest Kenny's Car Rental. We've used him for the past two years and will again this year and most likely forever. He literally meets you at the airport with YOUR car, not a shuttle bus, and you will be on your way within 5 minutes. If you don't like lines then he is definately the way to go. Not to mention that his prices are VERY cheap and the cars are a

My wife has already warned me that this time it's her turn to buy some jewelery in SXM. (I got a nice watch in Jamaica last year) So needless to say I'm or should I say our bank account is in big trouble LOL! Just wondering what types of jewelery are considered best buys in SXM ie silver, gold, diamonds ect.. I've already seen the many posts reccomending various jewelers, just
