NO, I take golf shirts and bermudas and that will get you seated and fed anywhere. Most places you're ok with a t-shirt and shorts

Who is going? You and the spouse? Any kids? Lots of activities on Orient for the kids and adults too. Lots of great beaches. If you have kids, I'd say Divi and Mullet are good beaches, and Divi has lots of activities right there too.

Another plus about the Sea Palace is that the Boardwalk area is really cool now and there's lots of restaurants, shops, bars etc all along the boardwalk and it would be right outside your door.

Mary, A good friend of mine owns a couple weeks there and although it is an older resort, they have done lots of work to update it. The location is ideal and the beach is right out the back door and leaves you with a beautiful view from your balcony. I think you'll be happy there. The Pelican is older and nice also. I stayed there last year. It is alot more spread out and isn't

I think the meat sold in SXM is of good quality and it's not really necessary to freeze food to bring along but this is just my opinion

Sorry you had a bad experience. It's hard to find parking around that area.

We had some great Lobster bisque and salad there and on another occasion, we had good steaks. The second time our bill was extremely high and I think we were overcharged quite a bit so just double check it before you pay.

I think you'll find a massage therapist on the beach at one of the bar/restaurants and you can always schedule at Club O but I'm not sure you'll find 2 therapists for massages at the same time....maybe?

We go the early portion of January. The wind can be rough on the Orient sometimes making the waters choppy. We prefer Orient but when it's bad, we pack up and head to Cupecoy or somewhere else and usually find calmer waters. Traffic is bad at times but managable. It's great to leave after a usually stressful Christmas season and head off to heaven. You'll love SXM in January

Baywatch is near Club O. Andy and Cheryl have some great food there in a very casual atmosphere. Come naked with a towel if that's your thing. I've eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner there and all were excellent.

For a nice meal without spending a fortune, we like California. They treat you well, you have a great view and if is reasonable priced. Enjoy your visit. If you like piano bars, try Soprano's in Maho and for a fun night out try Cheri's show in Maho also. Have the whole group eat burgers and tuna steak sandwiches at Sunset Beach Bar and kids and adults alike will enjoy watching the je

I used Unity last year but the car I was given had constant squeeling from the brake sensors everytime they were applied. I got through the 2 weeks ok but that gets annoying and they knew about them when they gave me the car. I'm switching to Kenny's.

We stayed in a room that had not been remodeled. A couple little things didn't work properly but our view was fabulous, the balcony was large and very nice and we had a great time. I'm sure I would have preferred a room that had been refurbished but IF you get stuck in an older room, you'll still enjoy it IMO

Why do you guys have to scare me like that? I told my wife I'm never going in water in Fla anymore due to sharks and inland due to alligators. Now you'll have me a nervous wreck in SXM. I'm a lousy swimmer anyway so I stay pretty shallow in the waters.

It will be in the low 80s every day and the mid 70 at night. Take alot less clothes then you think you'll need. Mostly just your swimsuit (if you use one)

Besides knowing what is best to shop for, and where to shop for it, I've seen some discussion as to "when" to shop also. I think some feel it is proven to best buy on certain days and times so hopefully someone knowledgable will know.
