First timer, welcome suggestions

Hey all! We are going to SXM for the first time in Aug. Staying at Alamanda. What are some must do activities? Any beaches we should not miss? Thanks for the input!

Try the 3 fabulous beaches on the French side in the lowlands..Baie Rouge, Longe Baie, and Plum Baie. They are not crowded and beautiful...Baie Rouge is our favorite, but try them all!

We really enjoyed Orient Beach on the French side. Lots of activities and beautiful sand.

If you like good food, don't miss the restaurants in Grand Case. My favorites are Spiga and La Pressior. Also, La Vie en Rose in Marigot.

Who is going? You and the spouse? Any kids? Lots of activities on Orient for the kids and adults too. Lots of great beaches. If you have kids, I'd say Divi and Mullet are good beaches, and Divi has lots of activities right there too.
