Atlantis Casino

Someone had recently posted that the Atlantis Casino had done away with the $10 match play but we were there a few days ago and they have a new system. The match play is not playable on the tables but if you go to the CS desk they will explain that the card is now usable on the slots but you don't have to put in $10 to get $10. You put your card in and the machine automatically credits you with $10. You play on that machine and either you win or lose the money they give you. I walked away with $10 after playing for some time and the attendant needed to come over and give me my winnings. Also, there is a countdown on the card that when it reaches "0" they hand you $10. It probably would take forever to reach that but it's there none-the-less. I played for about 20 minutes and won the $10 and the points only went from 150 to 113.

Then there is a separate numbering system on the screen that when it reaches 2000, then they give you $20.

Finally, if you get a special "1" in a separate part of the screen, you go to the CS desk and they enter your name in a drawing.

As confusing as it may sound, it isn't once you see the screen on the machine.

Hi Georgia!

Weather has been beautiful every day so far. Yesterday I took a ride to Grand Marche and stocked up the condo. Today we went to sign up for cable and the ride there was OK but the ride back was a little backed up....but ya know what....I don't care! I enjoyed people watching, it wasn't the end of the world, and the slower we went, the less we noticed the bumps in the road. I take lemons and make lemonade.

We've been taking it easy these few days, taking care of condo things and fixing things so not really much time to enjoy the island yet. I did go down to the pool for about an hour and that was enough for me.

If I can do that every day, that's better than being home!!!

Here's another from our balcony

So all in all...doing just fine. I'm looking forward to your arrival. You must be soooo excited. We'll definitely finally meet so when you arrive, we'll try to set up a day and time.

Until then, take care and talk to you soon.

Regards,
Vicki

LOL! I agree. I don't let the traffic bother me at all; I find it entertaining! Finished up all the Christmas shopping today, just need to wrap everything and decorate the house tomorrow, then it's time to pack! Sounds and looks like you're having a wonderful time already; the sunset pic is gorgeous! See you soon!

Hi Donna! Yes, I do love sitting on the balcony!!! It kind of reminds me of what one would see on a Greak Island...I wonder why...grinning smiley

Just figured out how to run the dishwasher today...LMAO

Here's another photo but it's quite large. This should bring back some memories:

Unfortunately the blue and white colors look like pink and white... smiling smiley

All they have to do is get rid of that Tennis Court and put some potted plants around the air conditioning units and it would be perfect.

It was a fabulous day at Mullet so here are some photos to share:

That was the Lord Sheffeld in the background. It certainly looked like everyone on board was having a great day.

Hey!

Some great pics!

Good to see the Lord Sheffield back in the water. A mooring accident about 8 weeks ago left it near the beach in Great Bay by the Boardwalk where it was robbed of everything of value aboard. In order to repair the stern and drive shaft it was up on blocks at Bobby's Marina. Well, Capt. Rob was in luck because this is where it was during OMAR.

The ferro cement boat was built in Quebec and sailed down from Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada and has been providing entertaining low priced excursions for about 3 years.

Good luck with the 2009 season Rob.

Actually Monday morning was the only noisy day. Yesterday there was hardly anything annoying at all. It was great... Today, nothing yet but we'll see...as I see it, eventually this too shall pass and all will be right with the world. The sooner they finish, the better.

Everyone has been really nice too. I didn't expect that. All in all, it's going great and right now I have the laptop on the balcony while typing this. smiling smiley

Thanks for the good thoughts and I stopped by JN again. Raj said that they needed to match the earring because they didn't have any in the store. That's why they are holding on to it. Did anyone reply to your e-mail. The store was busy so I didn't want to keep them.

And thanks Denis for that interesting info. And I agree...everything happens for a reason and so having his ship where it was was the best scenario for him! What an absolutely gorgeous sailing ship.
