Honeycomb candy bar

This is a question for anyone who is on Island...
I am trying to follow a recipe from Bill Granger the Jamie Oliver of Australia...and it calls for a honeycomb bar. What is that? The recipe says one can substitute Cadbury's Crunchie bar...still have no clue. Are these candy? Are they available in SXM, if so where?

Thanks to all who can give me some information.

Hey!

That would be your VIOLET CRUMBLE, a popular OZ confection. Just Google it.

Yes,Denis you are 100% correct, where does one find that? Is it available on Island? I could bring it from the States, but where does one find it? Is it a regional candy?

Well I can say that honey comb does not taste like styrofoam. You can make it very easy just search the net for the recipe. My mothers great uncle passed the recipe down and my family has been making it for christmas for over 35years and probably more. If you decide to make it read and reread the instructions carefully so you dont over cook it. Tip use an electric knife to cut it up into smaller pieces and make sure to dip it in chocolate especially if you live in a wet or humid climate. Good luck! It is really yummy

This is it, it's called Honeycomb candy or Hokey Pokey, sometimes it's dipped in chocolate othertimes it's just plain, the bill granger recipe uses plain if it's for the honeycomb butter.

My mother in law is from Wales in the UK, and goes nuts over this stuff, I give her Golden Syrup as a xmas gift so she can make it, it reminds her of her childhood in the UK.
