Westin Dawn Beach questions?

So I am headed down solo as the name suggests. I stay at Starwood resorts usually all week traveling on business. I just needed a 6 day getaway.

So my question. I am all about the beach and sunning. I am not going to rent a car because I just don't want the hassle at night.

Getting to Philipsberg or Marigot from the hotel. How far in regards to time are they? Will cabs be plentiful outside the resort and then once I need to get back say at 2am?

If you have 3 must have to go to places what would they be?

No problem with the cabs. You are about 15 minutes away. Maybe more difficult getting back.
