Alligators, crocodiles or sharks?

Any wild critters to be wary of? On the beaches, in the water, little lizards in the room?

We have all 3 here in Florida. Also snakes, roaches, termites and an annual,
mass infestation of snowbirds!

No alligators or crocs, but have seen sharks way out between SXM and Prickly Pear. (No sharks near the beaches but some sea snakes in shallow water) Besides No See-ems and the lttle black Dengue Fever-carrying mosquitos, the thing to watch out for is stepping on a spiny sea urchin in the water. I'm always amazed that people charge un-sandaled into the water where these things live in significant numbers. If you own or rent a snorkeling mask, always take a peek at what's lying on the bottom.

What a choice! We must either put up with snowbirds or drug dealers to fuel our economy. Tough call. Gators, crocs, sharks, roaches, termites, hurricanes, tornadoes, red tide, heat, humidity, high property taxes & insurance, drug dealers AND snowbirds? Don't know why I love it.
