We returned at end of August after spending a week at villa in Dawn Beach Estates, the Westin is open and was very quiet, hardly any guests, they have a casino that opens in the afternoon, the restaurant was nice, we had lunch and the menu was pretty limited, but the food was good. We ate inside which is air conditioned which is different from most of the restaurants we ate at. The gift shop is also nice and has good quality clothing items, unlike the shops in Philipsburg.

It will probably take a few years before the Westin gains popularity, so for now you will have the place pretty much to yourself.

One thing I failed to say it my previous post is that the Westin has only one retaurant open at this time, we were told by our server that another will open some time in October

My wife and I returned in July and I was really impressed with the Weston property. It is beautiful and the beach is to die for. However, during slower season they seem to cut back and only had limited food.

We walked through the lobby (smells like a spa) and casino area (well, smells like a cigarette), and around the pool. The Westin looks like a really nice facility, particularly when the garage construction is finished.
