Royal Islander Great Bay

We are reserved at the Royal Islander Great Bay for December 2007. We have a 2BR reserved. I am looking for feedback as far as the progress of the renovations, a description of the accommodations (views, etc.) and anything else. The posts I have read are a year old. Please help.

I'm thinking you got two different resorts confused here. Great Bay is closer to Phillipsburg and Royal Islander is on Maho Beach and their two totally different areas.

Anon, she does not have the two resorts confused. After Great Bay Hotel did their last renovations part of it became timeshares and was named Royal Islander at Great Bay. Both the Maho location and the Great Bay location are owned by the same person/people.

tThank you, Annie. I stand corrected. Knew the Great Bay and Maho were owned by one guy and RI to but did not know Royal Islander was part of the name of the one in town. So If your lucky enough to get a deal at Royal Islander now you got to check to see which one? Would that be correct. And thank you for the info.

We spent a couple of days there, before moving into our time share. The units are nice and the pools and beach are also nice. The casino is small but friendly.
