know the new airport is open but couple of questions-do you still land on the old runways? do you still get off the planes onto the runway or are there jetways? and can you bring on the booze u bought in town or do you have to pack it in checked bags and can only bring on what is bought at the airport. and if you have to change planes you would have to check that liquor anyway-right?

"Old runway"? Yes--it's the only one !! Jetways? yes for most arrivals but not necessarily for departure. Arrival area is on the 2nd floor while most departures are downstairs where you board buses. "Booze"? sorry, no clue.

if you buy booze in town, you have to check it in your bags. If you buy booze at the airport after you pass security, you cna carry it on separately.. that's good for a non stop but if you change planes, then you cannot carry it on the next plane..you have to check it in your luggaage.

We were there and just got back two weeks ago. My husband brought back 6 bottles. We used a big duffle bag and took cardboard from a box and lined the sides and then used our snorkle fins to support the sides by placing them on the inside of the cardboard. The crown royal was already boxed, and We just put two big towels around. You can always go and get the bubble plastic as well. Everything was fine when it got here with us. We checked it in with the rest of the luggage early that morning and got it after we landed. Just make sure your weight is not over. They are very picky about that. We were pretty proud of our creativity.
