Island in July

We plan to return to St Martin in July. We will arrive on the 6th and depart on the 13th. What is the weather normally like that time of the year. We are booked at L'Hoste, second floor ocean view (is it nice). Are there good restaurants around the hotel? Is Unity still the best place to rent cars. We are coming in on US Air (track record?). What is the best place to get a massage in the Orient area?

I know this is a lot of questions but I wanted to wake up the gobeach message forum.

We will be arriving July 07 for (2) weeks. Weather will be in the mid to upper 80's. Sweater weather for us Arizonans. :-)
Traffice will be lighter, beaches will be wide open with plenty of parking and chairs. Restaurants will not require reservations and will be glad to see you. Most everything is still open in July. You'll love it.

We stayed last summer for two weeks in July and the weather was cool in the evening compared to Florida. Days were great, some showers not as bad as November. Only problem were the mosquitoes. Many at night around dusk. Bring some off. Beaches were great, lots of sun. Great time of the year.

Loved your pictures from your last trip AZ Guy. My wife grew up in Scottsdale so she can relate to the heat. It seems like you are now renting villas. Is that the best way to go if friends journey along to St Martin as a group? What is your favorite restaurant on the French and the Dutch side. Perhaps we will see you on the Island.

Thank you !!

If we have a group going, we always rent a Villa.
Great fun. The cost is very afforable if you compare the per person cost.

We tried "Le Moulin fou" this last year and loved it. It was new then and located right behind Cheri's Cafe. Other than that we like the Citrus, the Fish Pot or Le Montrimere (spelling??) at the Atlantis.

See you there !!

July on SXM...one time for 7 days years ago.....HOT...HOT...HOT...for us, uncomfortably HOT. Thus our annual trip in December. 100% more comfortable for everything outdoors.
