Newbe Just Back

Wow, what an expeirence. It truely is the friendly island. Stayed at PDP and the rooms were showing some age but still very nice. The food was wonderful everwhere we went. The resturants at PDP, The Boat House, Italian can't remember the name out by the airport. Snorkeling trip aboard the Swaliga II with lunch on Prickly Pear was great. The best trip was a "sunset cruise" aboard the Catamaran Stargazer. Is is operated by Holger Michalski and his wonderful wife who prepared a great meal for us. They operate out of Marina Fort Louis. Hated to leave, but plan to go back soon.

What was the cost for the catamaran? Sounds fun!

This post was made back in 2006 so the price has most likely risen since then. grinning smiley But these trips are a lot of fun and worth every penny. It most probably would cost around $80 - $100 pp but includes the trip, on board drinks and food for the daytime cruise. There are a few good ones to take with different stops. Wherever you stay, if there is an activities desk, ask about them there. It's best to sign up when you are on the island so that you can anticipate the weather conditions prior to going out.

The nighttime sunset cruise may be around $10 pp or slightly more and the sign-up is at the Pelican Marina I believe.

There is also something called the Pub Crawl which is also lots of fun and the boat stops at, I believe, three restaurants for drinks and snacks.

I wonder the samee thing Philippe.
I know Gert tried to clean out some of the really old ones.
Maybe he should some how leave them for reference sake but close them so no one can reply any more......but if you have to do that one by one, that's a lot of work.
