i signed up on the free-st maarten site for a free rental car for a week, this is one of those time share presentation deals. Is this legite will they meet us at the airport or something?

I signed up and then cancelled. I just figured they would be bugging us to listen to their speels so I thought, no it's vacation.

I agree. Went to one of their sales talks, wanting to get the free car rental and having no intention of purchasing t/s. Figured what I saved on rental and what I paid for the vacation time I lost, and would never do it again.

Beyond the air we breathe, not much else in life is really 'free' so for my money I wouldn't waste my valuable vacation time on a sales pitch for a free 'anything' - unless - and only unless - I was already interested in making the particular purchase, with or without the freebie. And then I'd only listen to become somewhat informed and then I'd buy resale if possible so the 'free' car as a gimme wouldn't serve as an enticement.

Personally, I think the car rentals on St. Maarten are about the most reasonably priced of almost any place I've ever rented so I'd skip the 'freebie' and rent from a reputable island rental company and save my vacation time for enjoying the island.

But that's just me. Whatever you do, enjoy!!

Thanks for your response!!! I dont have a problem with doing the presentation, I'm trying to find out if they meet you at the airport with the car. They have not responded to my email when I signed up with no confirmation #, so I was wondering how it works.

Your my hero. Anyone who sat thru a whole timeshare presentation and made it out in a hour is impressive. I sat through one one day and waisted over 2.5 hours and left and they followed me out to my car still haranging me.
