We just got back on Friday and we found a restaurant we had not been to. It opened 2 years ago just a few days before we were there so we missed it. The Wharf in Simpson Bay between Lees and The Boathouse. We had dinner at Halseys last Monday and were looking for a place to listen to music. They had a live band that was great. Coming on the 7th. I know u want rain but after the 14th is OK. Barbara is correct. Showers at night maybe a few hit n miss showers during the day. I have been sitting on th beach in sunshine and watching it rain somewhere else. When it rains and we are on the beach I usually just go into the water as long as there is no lightning

I can't speak for SXM but in July we were on Saint John and my wife and our friend were collecting broken coral from the shoreline and were told a story. A gentleman told them that he had been stopped at customs on his last trip and received a stern warning. He was held and almost missed his flight. Needless to say they put the coral pieces down.

Have used him many times in the past and have never had a problem. The rates are comparable. They meet you at the airport and take you to their spot. It is a short ride. I have dropped the car at the airport or have dropped it off with them and they drove us back to the airport. Highly recommended and I am about to call to reserve for our Oct 7th trip.

There is one golf course on SXM. It is in Mullet Bay. It is in terrible shape compared to most courses you might play. If you are a golfaholic and must play it is OK. If you are used to playing a nicer course leave the clubs at home. BTW they get about $100 for the round.
