hmm - well answer this (off topic) but as you enter the dirt road to Friars, there are old lights with huge glass round globes on them, and there is what may have been a resort??? was there ever anything like that there? and my next guess is the dirt road that goes up behind grand case beach club, and the beach there? slow night - can you tell!!!!

my understanding also - no need to put an additional 15-20% on the French side, you can add more if you'd like, maybe another 2-5%. Dutch side, if they are charging me 15% whatever they want to call it, thats the tip, and if it was great, I will add more. If they don't charge that amount on the Dutch side, then will tip like I do in the states. It just shouldn't be this confusin

Vinny - Philippe is a good guy - you'll get along, or agree to disagree!!! but I hope the board doesn't turn confortational and awkward to the point people don't post their opinions for fear of being ridiculed!

Having visited the island almost 30 times, only 1 time did I truly feel "uncomfortable" and that was when I was alone on Mullet at the far end while my hubby went for a walk. But I talked my way out of what "could" have been ugly. Or not, just an overly friendly guy!!! Now yesterday, went to NYC and then to South Street Seaport with my daughter, all was well and headed in

this forum has always been alot of fun, it can get heated, but you don't get the cliquey bullshit like you do on others!!! Not much chatter, but if you have a question, ask away, and it will be answered, or if not answered directed to someone that can answer it!!

Elaine - I totallyl agree with you, something like Royal Islander, Royal Palm, Flamingo even Pelican would be great with kids. Can you imagine strolling with kids over to the Atlantis property??? NOT, or walking to Mullet with kids??? that road can be dangerous to say the least. And I would not call the little market across the street a Supermarket???hmm

So I'm an Idiot now - whats the matter with you?? I'm asking serious questions, in the original post it says: Instead, he wants all of us to purchase our unit outright...for big $$$, or else pay an increased maintenance fee of nearly $1000 for each week Why do you think I questioned the 10K? duh.... Maybe the issue is your the idiot and they just want you out??? hmmm Here I

10K for a studio and you own it for the entire year??? what are the monthly fees? this sounds like a deal! Are they offering a rental pool? What are the percentages they are keeping on rental of your unit?

Whoa - I'm not saying hanging on the fence or standing on the road. I'm talking about being on the beach, or at either of the bars having the planes go over head!

I'm surely not defending any timeshare property - I sit daily praying I don't get hit - own three weeks at the Towers. But my point is it does matter one year - two years etc. Mary's Boon is a very small timeshare - and the op is saying there is only 25 owners? Who would have thought that gas would cost what it does, electricity costs have increased, water has increased, remembe

are they asking for a one time 1000 assessment per week, or is that 1000 per week every year increase inmaintenance. Because there should be caps in place as to not allow increases in maintenance.
