I'm a little confused on this one-- at least about saving time--as I recall the last time I was in Aruba (1997 I think) I cleared customs at the Aruba airport---- however in San Juan- I still had to go through Immigration--then get my checked luggage- and then exit through the customs line to get my checked luggage transferred to the plane for Hartford---I don't think I saved any time a

There are robberies and there are robberies. Just a thought- from someone who has never done it-- BUT if the drive is 45 minutes--- and maybe more if the traffic is bad----might be advisable to have a cooler- with ice---keep the fish as fresh as possible--but you being a fisherman probably already figured that out--I'm not being a wise guy---it was just a thought-- chbpod

Customs in SXM?-- what is that?-- you go through immigration get your passport stamped and then pick up your bags at the carousel-- then go to pick up a cab or your rental car--there is no customs------ that being said--- do not pack food (especially non-frozen) in your checked in luggage-----you never know for sure that your luggage will be there when you are---I heard the tale of a couple who

Flameboy- I haven't stayed there recently (did back in 1987)---but it is nice--and I know that they have done some refurbishing since then---if this is your first time to the island-- the advice almost everyone gives is to rent a car--so you can see the island-- Summit is close to French Beaches such as Baie Longue and Plum----probably closer to Marigot than to P'Burg-----I read from o
