JJc, I don't mean to laugh but renovations have been under way for lets see............. the past 10 years!! Our original bed spread has the same cigarette burn that was there 10 years ago!!!!!! and the rust covered fringe adds to the island flair. That is thier standard bumbs rush line. Nice resort!! If I did much more than hang my hat there I would more PO'ed than I am. Dave

Thanks Killian for the info, I'll will certainly give timeshsare a try. I used to use ebay with success but now you have to join "square trade" plus give your fingerprints and hand over your first born!! Saph used to just write a check but now I guess its just part of the downward slide. Frankly I'm about ready to sell due to disgust with how the glorified resort is run.

We had the Saph rent two of our weeks for us so we have money due to us. That was last March. They never answer e-mail and if you phone you just get a run around. Any similar experience or advice on how to get paid from them? Dave

Sad to say its the truth. I'm embarressed to bring company or even sell the week to someone I may see again. All the little things have added up to an overall apperence of neglect. When it hits rock bottom (not far away)it will take a major renovation to repair the place. I have to seriously consider selling our weeks before I have to give them away.

Also, Studio is one full bed and pull out sofa bed in most units that I've seen.

Get at least 2nd floor. Bld #2 is over the pool and bar area Bld one is center and building three is over the garden and kiddie pool(for week 10/11/12 its the tittie pool). Of course the higher you go the better the view of the ocean and surroundings. Make sure you get "ocean view" and not lagoon view!!! Ocean View!!!

Devra, Never walk the Mullet Bay area at night. I understand there was a rape and possibly a murder there last year (not sure about the murder). A woman was followed from town and forced off the road in her car, watch your surroundings in that area.

My spin on the Sapphire, We have owned since 94. On the upside; We have a great time there. The rooms, maid service, general staff and facility are very nice.
