Tabby you made my point exactly, no where else do we call where we are at by the airport code, so I guess it wasn't as stupid as I felt it was at the time. Thanks for clearing up the french side!

Now here's a question that might make some of your eyes roll, but am asking anyway...why do the locals or regulars call the island by the airport code? Is it for the whole island or just the dutch side? Just found that curious?

Is it worth the time to sign up for something such as a "club memeber" card where your gambling monies get you points-if they have it at all. Can anyone get the coupon books?

I had def. planned on doing that, and when I was telling John about taking a collapsable cooler with stuff he was like "great that will be our appetizer and then we will go to one of the restaurants" When he vacations he goes all out. I have been out of work as I just completed an AA in Arts and a Paralegal degree in Dec. and haven't found the right job yet, so now I am signed up

I just got through reading some horrific events tourists have dealt with concerning their timeshare, which made me think about what type of legal offices that might be on the island? I just obtained an Associates in Arts with a Paralegal degree and will start on my bachelors as soon as I return from the island-so naturally I am curious as to what law is followed???

I was just reading the posts on the people who want to move there-seriously, it's a small island and isn't there a limit to keep it from being overpopulated? Just curious :}

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone knows if there is an outrageous fee to use an atm, or should we just travel w/ the cheques and cash at bank as needed? This blog is amazing and thank you all for your wonderful advice! Julie

Thanks Barbara! I love your blog and pics, it is making me feel as though I have been on the island before! Can you also provide me with all the surcharges. I heard something about 30$ when leave the island, and to watch your bill at the resort? I will need to know what is a valid charge and what is not regarding the resort? Thanks again! Ciao

Is it true that if you use your credit card at some of the restaurants you pay more than with cash? Thanks! Julie

We will just have a day that cocktails can wait till dinner Sorry to be so needy Thanks! Julie

I have read conflicting posts on renting a car. Of course if we are going to a beach that has alcohol we will take the bus(is there any type of schedule?) or taxi, but not sure if I want to rent a car-we argue here in the states in the car-can't imagine how much fun it will be if lost on a strange road, even if there's only a limited amt. of island to get lost on? If anyone who is
