I think it's time for Philippe to publish a cookbook that includes how he managed to change the staff's direction. Probably would be a great inspiration and a basic guide for up and coming chefs. If they taste half as good as they look, all I can say is bravo!

I will not return unless there is a change in the air re the crime situation. Not the crime as much as the impression I am getting of the inability of the authorities to control it. I don't want to offer solutions as I have no knowledge of the politics, finances of the island, but just think that there are other options for us re vacations. Vacation elsewhere are probably more expensive for

Barb, Phillipe love the pictures. Barb the picture was obviously on film and has probably deteriotaed over time and scanning will further reduce the quality. However, you can do some adjustments in your photo editing software. I do it in Photoshop, but Photoshop Elements will do the same thing at a 1oth the cost. here is your photo sharpened, brightened, added a little contrast and changed th

Pinel, doesn't the last transport leave before sundown?.Doesn't make sense to move, no landings, sunsets, etc. I think this is one of those SXM rumors that we see from time to time.

No Tim Horton's on the island. You know how unruly us Canadians get without our Tim's in the morning.

Photoshop is a standard name in graphic design for web use, print layout, and more. Recognized world-wide as the industry-standard, Photoshop offers one of the most robust graphics editing experiences available. This is an Adobe program, very expensive, but they offer an abridged version which before you invest $1000 or so would be a great starting point. It's called Adobe Elements around $1

John Painter is still available version 10. Painter with two filters gives you a watercolour effect. I prefer Photoshop and I use the Art History brush for Painted Effect. I am also trying to add colour to the postcards that TK has on his blog. like the picture below. It gives me the feeling that I am travelling in the past. Time Travel so to speak. Here is one of Phillipe's postcards:

I would like to share some of my photoshop watercolours of St Martin, and I will post regularly like BigDenx does.I will post them 1074 x 768 which will be sufficent for most desktops. The first wc is of the bakery in the Pelican. Hope you enjoy. If anyone is interested in the technique and uses photoshop I would gladly send them the method.

Even if the price is the same (I m assuming that you are in the Hamilton,On region) your saving GST/PST and I am sure it's cheaper on the island. There are other shops on Front Street. Reasearch Canadian prices to give you an indication of the savings.

Den You are correct about the skeptics and it is amazing what they don't believe is true yet they swallow obvious alterations because they want to believe it. Magazine covers are the worse offenders. They create scenes to add credence to a false story and people who live vacariuosly thru the Brads, Angelinas, Jennifers swallow this crap, yet discount real pictures (The DK Maho 747) with a

Den I hope that the Duluth Nudist Group isn't a year long outdoor event. When they land, get through immigration and head for the taxis, Do you think the driver is going to ask them where they are going or just say "Hop in we'll be at OB in 30 minutes"? And remember "Don't lose the little stub to leave the island" What really scares me I think I see th
