My wife and I are going to be in SXM in January 2011. We wanted to spend a day over on St Barts. Is there anyone that can recommend a beach or area to go, if you have just 1 day on the island that is good to hang out on, and easy to get back to the airport for a return to St Maarten? Thanks for any information

My wife a I stayed at Divi our first trip to the island. It was nice...the people were very friendly and helpful. They have a bar and restaurant on site. They also have a coffee shop and small market. Rent a car to visit other beaches but they also have a nice quiet beach on little Bay. Close to Phillipsburg with shopping, etc. Probably can't beat it for free......have fun.

I noticed on their website that the Tiko Tiko will not be running during our next trip to the island. Does anyone know of another good day trip to Tintamarre? Thanks as always for any help

6. Coffee
Headed back in October, and cannot wait. We stayed at Divi last year and they had a little coffee shop that was pretty good. My question is, "Where on the island is there some good coffee"? Being a coffee-holic, I was looking for a good place to stop while roaming the island. Thanks

Trying to find information on a running club on SXM....... I see that there is one called the St. Maarten Road Runners Club, does anyone know if they have link to a website somewhere that I can get information on upcoming runs? I may be interested in doing a run on my next trip. Thanks for any information.

We went the first week in Oct. and had no troubles at all. It is really just a matter of using common sense as you would in the states or anywhere else. As others have said, rent a car so you can see as much of the island as you can. Take the ride out of Cul de Sac to Pinel Island, yuor kids would like that. Both sides of the island are great. Can't wait to get back...............

My wife and I just returned from our first visit to St. Maarten, and I have to tell you it is the absolute best place we have ever been. We stayed at Divi Little Bay, they were nothing but attentive, helpful and friendly. We rented a car, which is a must, and drove all over the island. We visited several beaches, but somehow ended up at Orient almost every afternoon. Had lunch at a Rib place in G
