Friends occasionally stay there and they love their breakfasts, also. I think they said that the resort no longer serves dinner.

We own a one bedroom in the original building and are just a few feet from the shore and can hear the waves lapping from inside the apt....one of the simple pleasures we really enjoy. The original building also has an elevator. I understand that the other buildings do not have one. That could be a bother when lugging suitcases or groceries, I think. I have never been in the other buildings. T

Speaking of fitness centers, I just recalled after reading the last post, that though Flamingo does not have one they will give you a pass to go to the center at Royal Palm Resort a very short distance away on airport road. There is also water aeerobics at their own pool several days a week.

Flamingo Beach is nice...fine resort, good facilities and the area, Simpson Bay, is very convienient. There's a marina next door with day sails & ferries. I own two weeks at Flamingo and have been happy with that choice. The apts. have nice anemities. There's a beautiful pool and a beach bar. Restaurants are handy and so is a casino & convenience store.

I agree. My stay there for 2 weeks this past winter was fine, as always. I think the "bad press" has an axe to grind...just my opinion. I love it there. We have a view of the ocean from the balcony and a view of the lagoon from the bedroom.
