Never saw 70 or close to that !!! but you'll always find a bunch under the bushes to the right of the front entrance...by the foot sprayer. No doubt...they are nice/cute...except for the mama or two whose kittens are not weaned and on their own yet....MOST protective...again, heads up !!

Ahhh...the cats...now I know why there's no lizards, mice or rats on the premises. Wish the mamas weren't so protective of the kittens. The kittens are the only curious ones and they want to be held and petted...clearly, they don't know any better. WARNING...I had one POed mama one evening as I tried to play with her little kittys...no more...highly recommend leaving them alone

Lobster Buffet at Captain Oliver's...every Saturday night. $35 American for all the Lobster you care to eat. Great atmosphere and awesome seafood and the dessert table of French baked "stuff" is my wife's hang-out !!!

You can purchase small plastic boxes that are watertight that can tie to your suit or carried around your neck...made specifically for your concern. They are a bit larger than the size of a pack of cigarettes. One holds all our beach essentials...some cash, a credit card, a watch and my car and room keys. Any bandit can have our chairs and towels if he's that desperate...obviously we leav

We one stop shop at cost U Less...groceries are great there and they cost U less. Per Barbara 1...it's like a Costco and if you've never heard of Costco then it's exactly like a Sam's Club, again without the membership required.

Pat...I was a bit out of line on the staff and cleanliness...a bit of a cheap shot !! It is never unclean...it's more the wear and tear without the preventative fix-ups I'd like to see...eyesores if you will. The staff...I need to remember they're always on SXM/island time...they are never in a hurry yet on arrival Saturday I haven't yet slowed down...thus, I'm easily i

If you're referring to me as confused then I'm more so now. Yikes Chas, the subject changed to deer from dophin a while back. Augie's input is 100% valid in many places and my factual yet seemingly harsh input draws your ire. Fully understood...well thought out and necessary solutions to environmental problems seem to always draw the anger of what environmental engineers call &q

My forestry engineer buddy says deer "must be culled" for the health of the local herd, when found necessary. There are scientific ways to decide where and how many should be taken. It's not only good for the herd but for the good of the local civilian population. Hunger, disease and, believe it or not, "hormonal needs" (i.e. when a dominant buck controls too many &quo

As a towers owner...some/most of this article sounds hopeful. On the other hand, there's been a lot of hope for the MB ruins since 1995 !!! Cheers, spike

Sure...in a nutshell...and in my honest opinion...there's been a decline in quality (management, service, cleanliness, mainteneance, etc) at The Towers. It's not the same place that I purchased 10 years ago !! Like the Sapphire folks..."I'd like to know where my annual maintenance fees are going". Cheers, spike.

Unfortunately, the Sapphire isn't the only TS going downhill on SXM.

In my opinion, writers are striking far too much fear into first time visitors. The common theme is "commom sense"...100% valid...use it. About the drive from Maho thru what was the Mullet Bay Resort to get to the Towers...is is NOT threatening nor something to lose sleep over. Its about a 2 minute and curvy drive with multiple "speed bumps" with some street lighting. Most

We use Thrifty every year. Shuttle picks up renters every 10 minutes or so just across the driveway outside the baggage area. Maybe a 1 mle drive from the airport to the office. We rent an ATOS every year for around $125 a week (week 49...usually the first week in December). The ATOS is the perfect small and skinny car to park in spots few others can maneuver into !!!! Cars are always clean

Pat.........please give us a brief overview of the "scary" conceptual drawings you speak of. As a fellow Towers person I'd love to hear, better yet see, what's on the drawing board...is there a web site of these drawings??? We, too, enjoyed the "old" Mullet layout which surrounded the Towers...gotta believe any $$ spent in/on the area along with general clean-up wo

See Deepak at Royal Caribbean...great guy, wonderful family, very low key (a la no pressure to buy !!). He has a small store and adveritises very little..thue...compartitively low overhead which results in savings on quality jewelry for me and you. I'm not one to advertise for anyone on SXM, however, he has become a very good friend...even when we're not shopping we stop in at least t
