We're thinking of St. Martin for next year. We are on a strict budget. Can anyone give me a website or names of rentals for the budget minded? Would love something on the beach or close. Never been to St. Martin before so don't know which area is better than the other. Any help or suggestions appreciated.

Great trip report. I am fairly new to this forum but notice that trip reportson here do not have any pictures. From what I can tell, there is no way to attach pictures to a trip report on the forum? If not, would be nice to attach a link where your pictures are providing they have been downloaded onto your computer. Pictures are such a great part of trip reports and I love looking at them esp

mikentara, Thanks. I liked them too but wasn't sure about the beach. We do plan on renting a car for at least half of the week. We love to walk the beach. We prefer to rent a place where you are close enough to a few things within walking distance, such as grocery store, beach bars and a restaurant or two. Is Nettle Bay in a good location? Which beaches are the best? I know Orient is

irina, I didn't see anything on the website I was looking at about a water taxi. The map I was looking at looks like it is close to the beach. I have checked out the timeshare rentals but they are too expensive. It's just the 2 of us so we don't need something real fancy or big. We would like to save on our lodging as airfare can sometimes be very pricey from where we live, alt

Thanks everyone! This is all very helpful information. I'll make sure I check out all the condos you all mentioned. Ita, I like the Coralita Blue too! I'll check out the Azure also. I'm glad to hear the prices of things aren't sky high! We plan on eating in a few times and stocking a frig. with beer and wine! I like the aspect of having a BBQ too...cooking out is the

We have done timeshare rentals before in mexico but found them to be pricey. We've since realized we can go on vacation at a much cheaper rate then we used to just by searching and searching. We like a more quiet atmosphere but don't want to be out in nowhereland either and be too far from things, restaurants, bars, beach bars shopping etc. We also realize we will need to rent a car.
