Oh Yeah... front row seat! 15 feet away from the ocean shore line! house all open, front sliding doors and side window watching the "show" for hours! and taking pictures of the ocean, and the waves... it was like nature fighting against itself! the pressure of the hurricane was creating a huge swell and huge waves were trying to come ashore while the 100+ mile per hour wind was pushing the out! Amazing noise too.. The only thing I can say, is that we were very lucky for once! If the hurricane had passed south of St Maarten, then it would have been another story and I think we wouldn't have stayed in the house...
