Hi all, was wondering if some or any places close around the Christmas Holidays... ie: Banks, stores, gov. offices, real estate offices, pharmacies, thanks for any info.

What do you mean? Like Christmas Day? Yeah, stuff is closed. Plus places close early on the 24th. Maybe Boxing Day also.
I would not schedule anything past the 23rd then after New Years.
Cheers
Irina

Your best bet would be to grab a cab to Orient Beach for the day. Everything there will be open.

I just found out that friends will be in St. Maarten on Christmas Day off of the Mariner of the Seas. They are planning on spending the day on Orient, but wondered if there are any special events there for Christmas. Anyone know? They're not c/o people.

I don't thisnk there will be some special events on the 25th, specially on the French side since we are celebrating on Christmas eve and Christmas day is usually "hung over" day...drinking smiley
