Going to St. Martin in November

Debating on where to stay. We are a 30 yr old fun couple. Looking for great restaurants, calm water's, night life, and a hotel with a gym. Please help. How long of a drive is it from Grand Case to Orient Beach and also from Philipsburg to Orient Beach. Thank you.

Hotel with a gym, next to a nice beach and not too far from great restaurant :

Royal Palm in Simpson Bay (night life)

Oyster Bay Beach resort in Oyster Pond/Dawn Beach (no night life...but over all I assume that a 30 y/o fun couple will rent a car for the week so night life will be available within driving distance).

Gd case to Orient : 5 minuts

Philipsburg to Orient : 10 minuts max

Kind Regards,
Philippe

In off season orient is probably no more than 25 minutes from wherever you stay

Rainbow Beach Club definitely has a full gym and I think The Cliff has one as well. They are located in Cupecoy across from the Atlantis Casino and many 1st class restaurants (Temptation and La Gondola). They are also about a 5 minute drive to Maho and 10 minute drive to Simpson Bay and Cole Bay where there are more fine dining and casual restaurants and Casino's. These places have their own websites so you can check them out from there.

I think that they posted their question on the wrong thread.

I am going to St. Maarten in Sept/Oct. Staying at the Pelican Bay Marina Villas, $399 for 7 nights for 1 bedroom suite, right on Simpson Bay Marina. Has anyone been there? Any comments?
Never been to St. Maarten before, plan to cook some at 'home' in suite to save $$ any suggestions?

Just curious....can you drink the water in St. Maarten? Do you have to buy bottled water to be safe?

The water is safe to drink (desalinated) but many people prefer to just buy bottled water. It's not like countries where you can't even have a drink with ice for fear of stomach issues. I sometimes drink the tap water there but if you're used to bottled water for taste, then just buy a case of bottled water and use their tap water for the ice.

Very curious. Can I ask you where you got such a great rate, $399 for the one week 1 bedroom suite at Pelican Bay Marina Villas?
