Do they still do the 1:1 cash, given the depreciation of the dollar? Pretty good deal, though I gotta they must be raising prices....

B,

With all due respect, I just can't accept that any responsible business can do this. Well, not and stay in business!! Given all the background Philippe has given us regarding rules and regulations on salaries, taxes, benefits, rents, utilities, etc. on the French side, how can a business take that kind of a beating and still remain solvent? Tell me, please, because I may soon need to know this myself.eye popping smiley

Respectfully,

Some (not many) restaurants offer 1:1, but often, a close inspection of the prices shows that one establishment's 1:1 is really another's 1:1.3, or at least pretty close. More often than not, I think it's more of a marketing gimmick than a true savings on the final bill.

One that does is Spiga, and it amazes me. Their prices haven't increased significantly since we've been going there, and they offer 1:1 for credit cards as well as cash. Eating there is quite a good value, and the food is phenomenal as I'm sure most who post here know.
