thanks for all the advice!
We are not really that worried about the crime, I know that there is bad places in my own town I do not go, hell, the cops dont even go into certain areas.

Thanks for the tips on where to eat and such.

I would rent the car for the entire trip, and if you want to go out and party, just get taxi's.
