Researching St. Martin -- Seeking help from locals

Hi all,

I'm hoping someone who is local to the island of St. Martin can provide some assistance. I'm an author of romantic fiction, and about 1/3 of my current work-in-progress takes place on St. Martin. However, I have never been to the island (though I hope to travel there eventually).

I need specifics on things such as the local architecture, what the streets are made of, how congested the Marigot section gets at night, and other tidbits I just cannot find via any websites.

If anyone can help, please contact me offline. I can be reached me via email at farrah rochon @ gmail. com (no spaces) or my website, which is simply my full name, dot com.

Thank you so much.

The architecture is very "french creole" with colorful little houses especially in Marigot. And yes, Marigot is congested in the evenings, particularly around the waterfront.

You can also try www.traveltalkonline.com for info on the island.
Plenty of locals on island. There is both the Dutch and French side on this island. Any particular side?
