Buses

I've been reading on this message board that most people seem to recommend a car rental. I've also read on another message board that the buses are a cheap and easy way to get around. I'm staying on the Dutch side for 2 days prior to boarding a Windjammer for the week and want to go into Marigot and Orient Beach on a Saturday. Are the buses do-able for this? Would it be less travel time on a Saturday than during the week? Does anyone recommend taking the buses at all or will it just be a nightmare? Thanks for any advice!

You'll be fine with the buses. So long as you don't need them during the evening or night and are not on a strict schedule.

Where do you catch the Dutchside bus to go to Orient Beach? And where and how do you get it back to the Dutchside? Is there a bus stand on Orient Beach and if so what areas it in?
